The driving force behind my art practice is to journal my thoughts, feelings and experiences but also explore themes that viewers can relate to. Sometimes they are momentous experiences in life like moving countries or battling cancer. Other times they are the everyday experiences, the small but poignant moments.
Artist statement:
”This drawing was created on the first day of 2022. I was inspired to experiment with not only combining pen and pencil together, but to fuse realism with surrealism to achieve something in between.
This artwork represents trying new things without the pressure of being perfect.”
This artwork was a finalist in the Bluethumb Art Prize 2022 which celebrates Australia’s strongest emerging and established artists. It has also been selected in two of Bluethumb’s hand picked curations.
Artworks are best preserved out of direct sunlight behind a glass frame or photo album.
