Artist statement:
"This work presents an analysis on the power of words and phrases. I am specifically interested in the ambiguity of words and that their meaning is context dependent. From combining awesome with sauce to transforming the name Karen to a verb, I am often left scratching my head at the evolution of the english language."
The driving force behind my art practice is to journal my thoughts, feelings and experiences but also explore universal themes that viewers can relate to. Sometimes they are momentous experiences in life like moving countries or battling cancer. Other times they are the everyday experiences, the small but poignant moments.
