Framed: Yes
Artist Statement:
“Ever had one of those days where you bit your tongue through every frustrating moment? Did it feel like it was just one thing after the other. If it’s not this, it’s that. But then something so trivial, minor and unassuming happens. You run out of tomato sauce. It’s the straw that broke the camel’s back."
The driving force behind my art practice is to journal my thoughts, feelings and experiences but also explore universal themes that viewers can relate to. Sometimes they are momentous experiences in life like moving countries or battling cancer. Other times they are the everyday experiences, the small but poignant moments.
This artwork was exhibited in my solo exhibition, 'Mid-sentence' at Gatakers Artspace in Maryborough, QLD in April 2022. This drawing was the featured image for the exhibition publications and marketing material.
This artwork was carefully drawn with high quality Staedtler pencils on Moleskine artist paper.
This artwork is framed in a white A3 sized frame with D hooks attached.
