Artist statement:
“Ever had one of those days where you bit your tongue through every frustrating moment? Did it feel like it was just one thing after the other. If it’s not this, it’s that. But then something so trivial, minor and unassuming happens. You run out of tomato sauce. It’s the straw that broke the camel’s back."
The driving force behind my art practice is to journal my thoughts, feelings and experiences but also explore universal themes that viewers can relate to. Sometimes they are momentous experiences in life like moving countries or battling cancer. Other times they are the everyday experiences, the small but poignant moments.
Original artwork held in a private collection.
The original artwork was first exhibited in my solo exhibition, 'Mid-sentence' at Gatakers Artspace in Maryborough, QLD in April - June 2022.
Artworks are best preserved out of direct sunlight behind a glass frame or photo album.
Colours and brightness may vary from screen to print.
