Artist statement:
Dear Diary,
Today I had this really weird interaction with someone I just met. I don't know why but I keep replaying it over in my head. It wasn't a bad interaction, it was just weird.

This drawing depicts how awkward I feel sometimes in new situations. Where do I look? What do I say? Am I getting away with smiling and nodding?

This work is drawn with high quality artist pencils and blue ballpoint pen on paper.
